Strength In Numbers Consulting Group Inc. Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Strength In Numbers Consulting Group Inc. ("Strength In Numbers," "we," "us," or "our") is a research and evaluation consulting firm based in Brooklyn, New York. We design and run surveys and other research on behalf of nonprofit, public, and mission-driven organizations (our "client organizations"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information from people who take part in our surveys, receive survey invitations from us, or visit our website.
1. Who we are and our role
When we run a survey for a client organization, that organization decides the purpose of the research. We collect and manage the information on its behalf, under a written agreement. We don't use survey information for our own marketing or for any purpose outside the research project.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the project, we may collect:
Contact information. This can include your name, email address, and mobile phone number. It is provided by you or by a client organization you have a relationship with, and we use it to send survey invitations and reminders.
Survey responses. This is the information you choose to share when you complete a survey. Participation is voluntary, and you may skip questions or stop at any time.
Technical information. Our survey platform may automatically collect limited data, such as browser type, device type, and the time a survey was completed. We use this for survey quality and to detect fraudulent or automated responses.
Website information. If you contact us through our website, we collect the information you choose to send.
3. How we use information
We use the contact information only to:
Send survey invitations, reminders, and related messages
Administer surveys and provide incentives, when a project offers them
Protect the quality and integrity of the research, including screening out fraudulent or automated responses
Respond to your questions or requests
We report findings from surveys in aggregate, meaning we group your responses with other people's answers. We take steps to keep individual respondents from being identified in reports.
4. Text messaging (SMS)
If you agree to receive text messages from us, we will use your mobile number only to send messages about the survey or research project you agreed to receive messages about. These may include invitations, reminders, and incentive notices.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP TEXT. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See our SMS Terms and Conditions.
5. How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share personal information only in these situations:
With the client organization that sponsored the research, as described in our agreement with that organization and in the survey's consent information.
With service providers that help us run surveys, such as our survey platform (Qualtrics) and text message delivery providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us. As stated in Section 4, SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal process.
6. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. These include access limited to project staff, password-protected and secure systems, and our survey platform encrypts data transmitted over the internet. Standard text messages are not encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect to what each project needs.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information only as needed for the research project and as required by our agreements with client organizations. We remove any contact information from the final data before reporting on it. Once the project is complete, we will not contact you, unless you agreed to further contact.
8. Your choices and rights
Taking part in any survey is voluntary.
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP TEXT. You may opt out of emails using the unsubscribe link in the message.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your contact information by contacting us using the details below. Where a request involves a client organization's data, we will work with that organization to respond.
9. Children
Our surveys are designed for adults aged 18 and older unless a specific project states otherwise and has appropriate consent in place. We do not knowingly send text messages to people under 18 without consent to do so.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
